Babysitter Training

Do you have a child who will be caring for a sibling this summer? Or a teenager wanting to earn some money during the summer break? Then the American Red Cross Babysitter Training course is the place to start!

The American Red Cross Babysitter Training course provides youth who are planning to babysit with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care for children and infants. This training will help participants to develop leadership skills; learn how to develop a babysitting business, keep themselves and others safe and help children behave; and learn about basic child care and basic first aid. The recommended age for this course is 11-15 years old.

What makes Tiny Humans Babysitter Training different from others?    Three things:

1. Our classes are 100% hands-on and group interactive. It's hard to learn and practice hands-on skills with immediate feedback from a computer. Caring for children is a hands-on learning experience; the training for it should be, too. Our students learn form each other, with the guidance of the instructor, and create a support network (and friends) from within the class.

2. We include a 2 year CPR AED certification card with the price of the class. CPR certification classes are usually separate and are about the same price as the Babysitters Training course alone. We choose not to charge extra for it. We understand that teens will eventually want a real job and we want their training and certification to carry over when that time comes. Plus, that's an unnecessesary added expense for parents.

We also supply all class workbooks and materials, saving even more money!

3. Tiny Humans 'business model focuses on a wide range of safety and parenting topics when it comes to caring for children; some of which is not covered in the American Red Cross curriculum. Our wealth of knowledge in areas such as proper car seat use, methods in improving negative behavior,

de-esclation training, plus direct experience of being parents ourselves is valuable information we include in our classes.

We set our students up for success!
